ADB CONGRATULATES OWNER OF ADOM MBROSO COLD STORE

The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) has congratulated, the Chief Executive Officer of Adom Mbroso Cold Stores, Mrs. Justina Baidoo for award of an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Ghana.
The Head of Corporate Banking at ADB, Akwasi Afreh Biney in a brief remark, indicated that Mrs. Baidoo has been a customer of the bank for the past 29 years and they bank has supported her both technically and financially.
“We wish to congratulate her for her enormous contribution to the fishing industry in Ghana and her exemplary philanthropic work in the educational sector which has earned her this honorary award and also pledge our continuous support to her business now and in the future,” he said.
Mrs. Justina Baidoo manages a large fleet of fishing trawlers and has recently diversified her business to include servicing of trawlers. Her appreciable philanthropic work in the educational sector was cited by the Council of the University of Ghana as one reason for awarding her the honorary degree.
The cold store operator who has now transformed her business ‘Adom Mbroso’ into one of the leading cold store companies in Ghana was awarded in March together with 14 other personalities at a Special Congregation at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana.
Adom Mbroso Cold Stores limited had its humble beginnings with the operation of a Cold Storage establishment duly registered under the laws of the republic of Ghana by Madam Akua Ackon, now Mrs. Justina Baidoo as tabletop business at Asafo market in the late 1970’s.
In June 1987 two other sisters joined her and registered their activities under partnership deed as “Abroa-Anoa Cold Store”.
