ADB Provides 100 Mattresses to Volta Regional Hospital

Agricultural Development Bank Ghana Limited (ADB) has donated 100 mattresses to the Volta Regional Hospital at Ho to be used at the various wards in the hospital. ADB’s supply of the mattresses for the beds is aimed at helping improve on the quality of health service delivery in the hospital.
At a short ceremony to present the items which cost a total of GH¢ 33,100 to the hospital, the Executive – Head of Finance of ADB Mr. James Sagoe explained that the bank has always been committed to supporting health institutions since quality health care is one of the foremost service people must enjoy and have access to.
“Quality healthcare delivery is a service that the citizenry must enjoy and access in order to maintain a healthy a nation and over the years ADB has been committed to ensuring it supports various hospitals to help achieve this in diverse ways. Today it’s the turn of Volta Regional Hospital and we are donating 100 pieces of mattress for the wards, he noted in his address.
He added “most facilities in hospitals require upgrade and the supply of these mattresses will bring some relief and comfort to patients whiles they are on admission here”.
Dr. John Tampouri, Medical Director at the Volta Regional Hospital who received the items on behalf of the Volta Regional Hospital express his outfit’s profound thanks to ADB for coming to their aid to help replace the worn out mattresses in the wards.
“We are overwhelmed by the gesture from ADB for this donation and we sincerely thank the Bank for this support. This will no doubt help us in our patient care especially patients who are admitted here to get some comfort whiles on admission, he said.
Dr. Tamouri further indicated that, “Health care financing can’t be done by government alone and we appeal to other corporate bodies to follow ADB’s example towards the support of improving quality health care.
